Faux Bruschetta

  • 1 loaf French bread, sliced into 1-inch slices
  • 4 or 5 Roma tomatoes, sliced into rounds
  • 1 bag grated mozzarella cheese
  • Ground pepper
  • Dried oregano
  • Olive oil

Pour some olive oil into a small plate. Dip bread in oil, place oil side up on a cookie sheet. Place 2 or 3 slices of tomato on each slice of bread, sprinkle with pepper and oregano, and cover with cheese. Bake at 375°F until cheese melts (about 5 minutes.)
