Cincinnati Chile

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1-1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 can kidney beans and liquid
  • 2 Tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Dash of oregano
  • Dash of garlic powder
  • Dash of basil
  • Pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

In a large skillet, sauté the onion in oil until transparent. Add the beef, cook until it loses color. Add the remaining ingredients. Cook at medium heat 30 to 45 minutes. Serve over rice or pasta.
