Bread Pudding

Place bread cubes and raisins in baking dish. Combine sugar, eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl. Mix well. Pour over bread and raisins, mix gently to be sure that the bread is well coated. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes, or until golden brown and knife inserted near center comes out clean. Contributor's note: The original recipe called for more sugar and no cinnamon, nutmeg, or raisins, so you can make adjustments to the flavorings and it still seems to work out well. Also, I always spray the baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. |
